Life, On Purpose
It’s so easy to walk through life on accident, simply reacting to our immediate circumstances. Or we move through life laser-focused on achieving a particular goal, all the while missing out on all of the life happening around us.
At Foundation Church, we live according to a Rule of Life. A Rule of Life is a set of practices that guide our actions and choices, helping us live into who we are made to be and who we want to become.
We live here and now, and we live with purpose.
A Balanced Approach
Churches in America tend to fall into one of two extremes: theology or spirituality.
A theological church offers a deep knowledge of scripture, but without a strong sense of spirituality there is no experience of God. In other words, “I know about God, but I don’t know God.” On the other hand, a spiritually focused church offers an experience of God, but tends to lack a strong biblical foundation for faith.
At Foundation Church, we believe that faith is not “either/or”, but “both/and”. Being an apprentice to Jesus requires a balance of both theology and spirituality. We need to know what God teaches through scripture, and we need to recognize His presence and power in our lives.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
